Bowl for Kids' Sake
It's not about bowling! Bowl for Kids' Sake is an annual fundraising program for Big Brothers Big Sisters where you can be a bowler, a team captain, a sponsor, or all three. When you bowl for us you get to enjoy a fun outing with friends, family, colleagues, your civic group or faith group, and help us in our most important annual fundraiser.
It's not the score that matters! Bowl For Kids' Sake bowlers and sponsors are people just like you who want to give back to children right here at home. It doesn't matter if you're a league bowler or have never bowled before. You can choose your sponsors, and all the money you help raise goes directly toward matching children with caring adult volunteers in our community. For bowlers and sponsors alike, the greatest satisfaction comes from knowing you've helped kids in your community.
Have fun with friends, to help kids! As a bowler, you sign up sponsors (friends, colleagues, neighbors, etc.) on the pledge sheet - we suggest a minimum pledge amount of $25.00. Then you call the Big Brothers Big Sisters agency at (850) 386-6002 to schedule a time to bowl. The added benefit of being a team captain is that you get to organize your own group of 4-5 bowlers each raise just $100 in pledges – we provide refreshments, bowling, incentives (i.e. t-shirt, bowling pin, hat, or sports bottle) and door prizes. We make this a fun and easy event for you and the four friends, family, co-workers and others that you recruit as team members. Gate Charity Golf Tournament
The Gate Charity Golf Tournament is an annual fundraising program that benefits Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Big Bend, Inc. Join us for a fabulous day of great golf to benefit our community’s premier mentoring organization!
The format is a Four-Person Scramble with a Shotgun Tee-Off. Registration is $600 per team of four, which includes: Green/Cart Fees, Range Balls, a box lunch with drinks, and a Post-Tournament Buffet. Prizes are awarded for the Top Three Teams, the Longest Drive, the Closest to the Pin, A Hole in One, and a 50/50 Raffle Drawing. A number of Sponsorship Opportunities are also available.
